Educational trips “heating up” for Level 3 Plumbing students

This week, our Advanced Level 3 plumbing and gas technician students visited Vokèra, an industry leader in quality home heating solutions, offering a comprehensive product range for domestic home heating and light commercial applications.

Students were able to sample some of Vokèra’s heating products whilst learning about how they are made and operated. Students were able to learn about products such as high efficiency condensing combi-boilers, system boilers, open vent boilers, water heaters and unvented cylinders.

After a tour of the facilities, students were educated on the background of how the company was founded. Students were led to the facilities practical working areas where they were shown how the combi-boilers operate and learnt about the science behind each product.

Interestingly, students also were taught about the technological progression which has further aided the development of heating products. 

Finally, students were taught the importance of operating with energy efficient equipment in order to help the environment and learnt about the advantages of doing so.
