CHICAGO — Former Oaklands College student Tonderai Tomu recently transferred to Chicago De Paul University in Illinois, and has proven himself to be an instant hit, breaking the track record in his first meet for his new University.

Head Coach at De Paul University Athletics Patrick Savage commented: “Tonderai has settled in magnificently here at De Paul. Our friends at Oaklands College in St Albans have a great program for athletes in their junior years. Coach Anderson runs a comprehensive scheme that we fully endorse and we have invited him to Chicago to guest coach some of our senior athletes later in 2010. We hope that they produce some more potential athletes for us here at De Paul.”

Gary Anderson, Academy and Performance Director at Oaklands College commented: “We are all very proud of what Tonderai has achieved over at De Paul University and knowing Tonderai this is just the start.”
