Why study travel & tourism at Oaklands College?
You will get the chance to undertake work experience placements to get first-hand knowledge of working in the industry. In the past, our students have worked with companies such as hotel and country club Hanbury Manor and Virgin Holidays.
You will also learn from professionals already working in the industry, with guest speakers from leading companies such as British Airways visiting the college.
CABIN CREW QUALIFICATION - Second year Level 3 students have the opportunity to gain an 'Introduction to Cabin Crew' qualification specifically designed for those wishing to work as cabin crew.
TERRIFIC TRIPS - Previous trips have included a cruise visiting Genoa, Italy; Rome and Monaco with excursions to Cannes and Nice in France. Excursions were fully costed and risk assessed by the students, helping to develop their skills in budgeting, research and managing group activities.
STUDY PROGRAMME – Your study programme will also include maths and english at the level appropriate to you.
