On Thursday 24 October Tesco visited Oaklands College to talk to students about their Commercial Trainee Development Programme. Tesco presented to Art, Fashion and Design students in the morning and Business and IT students in the afternoon.
The Tesco Commercial Trainee Development Programme provides an opportunity for students to kick start a successful career without having to go to university with a local and yet global company with a head office based in Welwyn Garden City. Successful candidates would join Tesco’s Commercial Division where they will develop into a Buying or Merchandising specialist with a competitive salary.
Mark Collins, Business Development Co-ordinator, commented: “This is an ideal opportunity for students to explore their career options after gaining their qualifications from Oaklands and we are keen to welcome Tesco back next year to present the programme to the next cohort of students.”
