Tutors visit Church of Scientology

On July 10 three tutors from the A Levels department were invited to the Church of Scientology, in Blackfriars, for a guided tour to help raise awareness within equality and diversity.

The tour was given by Mark Pinchin, Public Affairs Director, who explained the notion and beliefs of Scientology and gave insight into the various educational programs that the Church is involved in, from Drug Rehabilitation to Human Rights.

Mark also answered many questions on the Church including the negative press that it has received within the past few years, to which he was happy to answer. 

The tutors were given a very thorough tour of the Church, from the purification facilities and chapel, to the teaching academy and book shop. At the end of the tour Mark Pinchin welcomed the staff to attend future events.
