Welwyn light switch on a great success
College play a principal part in Christmas lights switch-on
Last week Thursday the College played a principal part in helping with the Welwyn Garden City Christmas lights switch-on.
Thousands of visitors were entertained by the College’s performing arts students who took to the stage and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Olympic athletes Zoe Smith and Max Whitlock as well as popular band The Subways.
Health & Social Care and Beauty students were also kept busy all night offering free face painting, hand massages and manicures to the local public.
A great night was had by all and visitors were treated to free Oaklands College ear warmers which were very popular as temperatures dropped.
