Your Community & You

Lucinda Neall, author, voluntary worker and communication expert visited Citizenship students to discuss the importance of volunteering in the community

For the 4th year in a row Lucinda Neall of Neall Scott Partnership (http://www.neallscott.co.uk/communication-lucinda-neall.html) gave a talk to the A Level Citizenship students about how they can get involved in their local community.

Lucinda talked to the students about her involvement in community affairs and how being interested and engaged in something can make it less of a chore and part of who you are and what you do. She also motivated the students to consider how to become more active in the things they are passionate about.

Lucinda works with other schools and community groups raising aspirations, she also volunteers extensively in her own community.

It was wonderful to welcome Lucinda back to the College and the students really felt that they got a grip on how to move forward with voluntary activities.
