James Ashton, a Level 2 Sport student at Oaklands College. quickly emerged as a national star on the BBC's The Greatest Dancer talent show this weekend.
James and his dance partner Oliver have been picked to go through to the next round of the show after dazzling the celebrity judges and viewers alike.
Reaching the live rounds of the show, which was produced by Simon Cowell’s production company Syco, see’s competitors of any age and dancing style to compete to win £50,000 and a chance to perform on Strictly Come Dancing.
The boys brotherly performance, which reduced Glee star Matthew Morrison to tears, had the American judge saying: “It was so incredible. I found myself obviously just really, really moved by that.
I’m an only child but I always wished I had a brother in general. “The camaraderie you had with each other – I know you guys are not related – but it was so beautiful to watch.”
James' Level 2 Sport studies tutor Hara Markos said: "He has worked incredibly hard for this moment, it's great to see him receive the recognition he deserves, we're immensely proud of him."
The next episode of The Greatest Dancer will be aired this Saturday from 19:30PM on BBC One.
